Meetings arranged for Carers of a person with mental health issues are held between 10am – 12noon on 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at Central Baptist Church, Park Street, LU1 3ET.

Child Health

Childhood Immunisation Clinics

The Practice Nurse can provide childhood immunisations Monday-Friday.

These are for children between the ages of 8 weeks and 5 years old and need to be pre-booked. Please remember to bring your red book with you to this appointment.

Child Health Surveillance Clinics

Child Health Surveillance clinics are held on Tuesday lunchtime for new babies where they have an appointment with the Doctor and Practice Nurse for baby’s 8 week check and if all is well the baby will then go on to have its first set of immunisations.

Slapped Cheek Syndrome

Slapped cheek syndrome is a viral infection that’s most common in children, It usually causes a bright red rash to develop on the cheeks. Find out more

NHS Health Checks

The NHS Health Check programme aims to help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74, who has not already been diagnosed with one of these conditions, will be invited (once every five years) to have a check to assess their risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and diabetes and will be given support and advice to help them reduce or manage that risk.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Scan

All male patients will be sent an invitation letter when they turn 65 from the service (based in Bedford) asking to contact them to arrange a scan.

They hold local clinics at Vestry Close, Toddington or sometimes at Larkside.

This is a new free NHS service so anyone aged 69 years and older would not have received a letter, but can self refer. Find out more

Sexual Health clinics are run regularly by the Nurses and Doctors.

They offer advice on all aspects of sexual health.  The Practice Nurse is also available Monday – Friday, for contraceptive advice/family planning, smear tests and depot injections.

Luton Walk-In sessions mean that you don’t need to book, however, you do need to be prepared to wait for up to 2 or 3 hours to finish being seen, so please allow enough time for your visit.
