Zero Tolerance

The majority of our patients speak to our staff with respect and dignity and are treated in the same way by staff members. Unfortunately, we have had increasing instances of staff being verbally abused and/or threatened with violence by patients.

We understand that patients may be worried or unwell about themselves or family members, but that should not lead to abuse and threats. The staff have a difficult, demanding and busy role and do everything they can to assist our patients with their queries and concerns. In return they deserve to be treated in a respectful manner.

The Medici Medical Practice along with the NHS, operates a zero tolerance policy. Any patients being abusive or threatening to staff will be asked to leave the surgery and will terminate their registration if required.

We would like to thank the vast majority of patients, to whom this information may not be relevant.
